Top 5: Knits
Its blooming freezing out there. I have finally had to take the plunge this week and switch the central heating on. And with the thermostat peaking at over 25 degrees indoors (pardon my carbon footprint) and the temperature out there plummeting to single figures, I have had to give my wardrobe a minor overhaul and re-think. Whilst most people have prematurely jumped at the first chance to get out those winter jackets, I am still layering away as many items as is fashion-ly possible. You wont find me with no less than two chunky scarfs snaking around my neck, and at least one piece of knitwear insulating me on the icy bright days with those deceptively cold blue skies we have been having of late. I am just not ready to retire completely to my winter attire and i don’t think you should either. Make the most of the mild cold by layering up winter knits with your everyday attire; don’t turn just yet to your trusty overcoat, save that for the bitter winds of months to come. These are my Top 5 knitwear pieces for autumnal layering. Layer with denim jackets, blazers or layer with another knit and double it up as a coat.

4-
The zany pattern in this crew neck jumper by Walter Van Beirendonck from The Corner, £275 gives a bright nod towards the fair-isle knit we treasure during winter.
